Garment Description
Straight cut bustline with fitted bodice, waist panel and fitted mini skirt.
Main body of the dress is adorned with the 'Hatton' artwork, with additional bust, waist and hem panels in the 'Hatton Border' floral artwork.
Short sleeves with contrast 'Hatton Border' floral artwork cuff panels.
Central back satin panel with heavy topstitch detail.
Side concealed zip.
Fully lined.
Artwork Description
Our Hatton Beaded artwork is meticulously created by hand.
The design was first drawn in London. The base fabric is then carefully stretched onto wooden loom frames and the design is meticulously chalked onto the fabric by hand. The artwork is then hand stitched with incredible skill.
To bring the desgn to life, bugle beads are carefully hand sewn into pointed motifs to create delicate fringed rows across each piece. These are set against a floral gemstone border design with beautiful clawed stones and metallic embroidery on a sumptuous satin ground. Scatters of sequins and claw diamantes add sparkle throughout.
The speed at which the hand artworkers can do this process is quite incredible but the focus required is immense and the panels still take a huge amount of time to complete. As with our Maida and Chelsea Collections, one dress can take several days to hand bead prior to even cutting and sewing the actual garment together.
